WELCOME TO THE ART HALL

A CONTEMPORARY ART GALLERY FORMERLY IN THE HISTORIC UPTOWN 23RD DISTRICT OF OKLAHOMA CITY

Hi there! THE ART HALL CLOSED ITS PHYSICAL space IN SEPTEMBER 2023, BUT WE STILL SELL LOCAL ART ONLINE! THANKS FOR CHECKING US OUT!

Installation View Facing South from the Spring 2023 Group Exhibition, February - April 2023.

The Art Hall was a nontraditional gallery space on Northwest 23rd Street in the revitalized Uptown District of Oklahoma City, founded in early 2016 by Anna Russell and managed by independent curator Helen Opper. The gallery closed permanently in its physical space in June 2023 after seven amazing years. The gallery now exists online.

The Art Hall aimed to support local artists by providing exhibition and sales opportunities, to increase the public's daily interaction with fine art, and to promote the appreciation of and relationships within the vibrant arts communities as well as with other local businesses and art workers in our growing city. The gallery provided a space for creative exploration, exchange, and collaboration with local artists, arts professionals, and the public. The Art Hall was thrilled to be a part of the urban renaissance occurring in Oklahoma City and the Uptown District.

The gallery organized curated group exhibitions and special events in its 23rd Street space, located in The Rise building, and currently maintains an online marketplace featuring the work of participating Art Hall artists. We traditionally focused on showing artists of all media and backgrounds who live and work in Oklahoma and maintained an occasional guest artist program.

You may still purchase local art by visiting the Available Artwork page to see a selection of work from past Art Hall artists. Please note that the gallery does not purchase artwork for resale.

The Art Hall is a collaborative effort between Helen Opper, Anna Fresonke, and numerous Oklahoma artists.
