Captivating My Creative Culture
Captivating My Creative Culture is an organization that seeks to expose underrepresented youth to the arts. Founded by Denae Smith, Captivating My Creative Culture offers free art classes to youth in Norman and Oklahoma City, and utilizes volunteer support from University of Oklahoma students and others. Represented schools and organizations include John Marshall Enterprise Middle School, Creative Music Academy, and Bridge Impact Center. The Winter 2022 Exhibition featured work by several young artists who take part in Captivating My Creative Culture’s programs. The exhibition was on view November 1, 2022 - January 31, 2023.
