Deborah Burian
Artist Statement
Deborah Burian creates evocative textural works inspired by nature and by public lands. She is an award-winning painter whose work has been exhibited in many national and regional shows, including the prestigious national Watercolor USA. Recently, Burian served as the Artist in Residence at Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument, working with visitors and volunteers to create the large-scale work “Monumental” which is permanently installed at the A.B. Cox Visitor Center. An unapologetic advocate for conservation, Burian strives to educate others about the value of public lands. You can see more of her works at https://www.deborahburian.com.
