John Davidson
Artist Biography
Born in Harlem New York, influences of art and culture surrounded John while he was growing up. Even as a young child he often could be found drawing pictures. This interest in the arts was fostered by his mother Wille Mae Davidson who herself was a vocal musician. During his senior year in high school, he was accepted into one of the premier art schools in the country, the School of Visual Arts, New York. John graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
Artist Statement
My artwork is God-inspired. I believe that visual art should be feast for the eyes. Raise the viewer out of life’s mediocrity and negatives to a plane where thoughts are stimulated and hearts brightened. It is a respite from shades of dark and gray to images of color and light.
