MOLLYWATTA a.k.a. Bianca Rentie
Artist Statement
My art is my post-adolescent perspective of human thought, anatomy, energy, interaction, and healing outputted as alluring works of diverse paintings.
Often referencing drugs, and the effects of use, MOLLYWATTA radically depicts our habit-forming nature as humans living by routine whilst blurring the line that separates habit and addiction.
My creative energy in fueled by quotes and dialogue, world conflicts, government corruptions, photography, music, religious texts, and anything inspiring from my current stage of learning and unlearning.
MOLLYWATTA is a member of the Tulsa-based Black Moon Collective. Her work was included in our exhibition Inclusion in Art at The Art Hall, December 7, 2018 - March 31, 2019.
