Teddi Fokas
Artist Statement
"These pieces are experiments in color, texture and abstraction that greatly differ from the realism-based approach my art usually takes. I was inspired by the colorful works of Kazuo Shiraga who uses very colorful, textured pieces to tell a story without the use of structured contour lines. I wanted to stretch my limits and do something similar by creating works through which the viewer can draw their own interpretations and conclusions of meaning, while still guiding them in the direction of the message I had intended."
Teddi's work was featured in our exhibition, Hodge Podge, October 2017 - January 2018.
