Old graves and eerie crosses adorn the land of the Terlingua Cemetery. A century old and almost abandoned, the souls that are interred here are all former mercury miners who fell to the harsh remoteness of the land.
The cemetery lies west of Big Bend National Park in the town of Terlingua, a small border town near the U.S. and Mexico border. The area is relatively desolate to this day and hosts only a few residents and even fewer businesses.
With a unique foreground, it seemed fitting to capture the trails of the stars over such a hauntingly beautiful setting. The circular pattern of the stars serves as reminder that life and death are both circular and everlasting in nature.
